Need a Present for a Coffee Addict?
Oh, did I say addict? I mean coffee lover… The holidays are coming up quickly and I’m getting organized for the big spending months ahead. What do you get for a devoted coffee drinker? A gift card to Starbucks or something more thoughtful and meaningful? As a coffee lover myself, I decided to curate all the gifts that I’d want to receive myself, at a variety of price points.
My criteria requires the item to have a 4 or 5 star rating along with its availability from Amazon Prime (fast and free shipping). I’m not a barista and I don’t even play one on TV…but I do love a great cup of coffee.
If you have other ideas of perfect gifts for those who worship at the altar of caffeine, please let me know in the comments and we can chat about it!
Handheld Milk Frother
I’ve owned two of these over the years (different brands) and while they don’t steam the milk, it’s fun to get it frothy. Perfect for milk (and any non-dairy milk of your choice) for your coffee or matcha latte. This one is rated 5-stars and at the time of this writing, it’s on sale for under $7!
If you frothed it first, it’s perfectly acceptable to cry over spilled milk.
I don’t drink dairy, so I’m always a bit sad when I see the gorgeous latte art filling my Instagram feed like tiny little coffee masterpieces. Fortunately for me and my fellow non-dairy folks, new non-dairy products have hit the shelves called Barista Milks that are designed to create the microfoam necessary for latte art. Now I can have my almond milk and a latte art tulip too…
The Bialetti, also called a Moka Pot, is a stove top espresso maker, similar to an old school pressure cooker. It helps hipsters and coffee-philes go camping while still having a perfect pour. At a $20-30 price range, it’s a perfect entry-level gift for someone experimenting with espresso.
Vietnamese Coffee Drip
Oh…Vietnamese coffee. With your deep rich flavor and condensed milk sweetness and one billion calories, I love you so. But since I’m avoiding sugar and dairy, this would probably be a better gift for someone else on your list. 😉
Nespresso Espresso Machine
Nespresso is a single serve pod espresso maker. They carry a wide variety of high end coffees and it makes delicious coffee. I was introduced to Nespresso at an AirBnB that I rented for a retreat that rocked my world. Amazon carries many, many different models and varieties of coffee pods.
Coletti Pour Over Kettle Set
This Coletti Pour Over system ensures for the perfect pour over each and every time!
The Chemex pourover coffee carafe was selected by the Illinois Institute of Technology as one of the 100 best designed products of modern times. It’s manual brew all the way with the Chemex and it requires Chemex filters.
The price tag for a burr grinder can be hefty but the grind is one of the most important parts in making a perfect brew.

Puegeot Antique Coffee Mill
DeLonghi Attachment Grinder
Can you just imagine stumbling out at 6 am and having to hand crank your beans? Perhaps not at dark-thirty, but maybe a manual grind might be fun as an afternoon ritual to inspire your workday.

Last, but certainly not least, is coffee. Artisanal, specialty coffee makes a beautiful gift for a coffee lover. Have you heard of coffee subscription boxes? It’s a way to get freshly roasted coffee beans delivered to your front door. The Kitchn did your homework for you, so hop on over to their site to read their top 10 favorites.
If your coffee lover is a fan of coffee on the go, a gift card wrapped with a beautiful presentation (such as with a bag of coffee) will be much appreciated. My daughter and foreign exchange student daughter attend art school next to a lovely, locally owned coffee shop. Their stockings will definitely have a gift card from mom.
